Jason’s Hope

My hope is that we will see God with fresh eyes of faith during this Christmas season. There is nothing like Christmas! It provides a respite of hope and a reminder that God has not forgotten us. In the midst of this broken world, we know we have a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. He left heaven to be born of a virgin in humility. He lived a holy life and died an atoning death, but was raised and now lives and reigns in the hearts of those who love Him. He is soon returning! This is our hope!

During this Christmas season, we can do many things to live hopeful and be helpful.

We can enjoy an amazing night of fun with our faith fellowship and also our friends and family who are not yet members of Living Hope. It’s time for Not So Silent NightOn Sunday, December 4, from 5 to 8p, we will have inflatables, fire pits with s’mores, food trucks, outside games, a train, the lighting of the Living Hope Christmas tree, and two concerts outdoors. Indoors, we will have hot chocolate, cinnamon ciders, some of the most wonderful cookies in the world, and two concerts. This is going to be a night to remember, so be sure and come and bring others with you!

Every Sunday morning, we are going to celebrate an attribute of Jesus and worship Him as our King. There is never a bad morning to bring a guest to Living Hope, but the Christmas season may be one of the best times. On Sunday, December 11, we are going to do something fun. We are going to have photo booths in the lobby. You will be able to take pictures with friends and family. You will get two cards with three different pictures you’ve made. You can keep one and can put the other in an ornament we will provide to hang on your tree to remember those in your life during this season.

The season will end with three Christmas Eve Services, at 2, 3:30, and 5p, and then two Christmas Day services, at 9:30 and 11a. Christmas Eve services have become one of the great traditions of Living Hope. You will enjoy inspiring music, a meaningful message, and a reminder to live as God’s light in the world. This is a great time to celebrate with families and friends. On Christmas Day, we will have two services, but no nursery, children’s classes, or adult classes. We will all be together in the Worship Center to celebrate Jesus.

I pray you take advantage of this Christmas Season to join God in the work He is doing in your life and where you live, work, learn, and play. Work hard to grow in the grace of God and to help others understand the gift of grace God has given to us in Jesus.
